Anthony's been acting weird, like he forgot he met FET before. To be fair, his interaction with FET was brief. It also doesn't help that his friend disappearing is probably what he's focusing on.
"You met FET already, remember?"
"Oh? I did?" Anthony geninuely seems confused by your statement. His eye widens as he suddenly remembers something. "Oh. Right, weird mask buff guy. Sorry, head ain't what it used to be."
Anthony clicks his tongue. "Doesn't change the facts, no, still have to ask this freak some questions, yes sir."
Right. Your mind lingers on what FET said about the person he met.
Same face? Same last name? That itch in the back of your skull is getting worse the longer your thoughts linger on it. You reach your hand behind your head to scratch at the itch.
>0 SUCCESSES!
You scratch and scratch, but the itch doesn't go away. You scratch harder to get rid of the itch. It's still there. Scratch, scratch, itch, itch. You're not even paying attention to the screen anymore; you're too focused on that goddamn itch.
You heard someone yelling, but you're not sure who. Something warm and wet runs down the back of your head, but the ITCH IS STILL-
"What are you doing? STOP!" Anthony barks out a command. You instinctually pull your hand away from the back of your head. You idly look down at your hand. Your fingernails are now caked in blood, yet the itch is still there.
"H-hold s-still, I'll! Uhm. S-stay there, okay?" Lucy scrambles to find something to stop the bleeding.
>+-????
Another message appears on the screen. "YOU FEEL ITCH TOO? ITCH BAD SINCE SCREAM TODAY. WANNA ITCH BUT HEAD NOT RIGHT. THANKS FOR ITCHING ME."
Anthony scoffs once he reads the message. "FET, huh. FET. FET." He repeats the name a few times, as if he's trying to figure something out. "F. E. T. Hm."
You feel something warm and gooey touching the back of your head. "O-Okay, s-sit still." Lucy's hands feel weird but you're not going to stop her.
You type a few questions into the text box for FET to answer. You'll start with the doppelganger first, that seems more relevant to you at least.
"Where did you last see him?"
"What was his-" Your fingers stop right as you were about to send the second question. You grit your teeth as you type the last few letters. "-name."
The window freaks out after you typed those two questions. It spasms and twitches, popping up in random places around the screen before returning to the center.
"NAME WAS ANGEL CRUZ, I THINK. WAS IN MY ROOM, DOING HUMAN THINGS, BUT CAME OUT TO DO MORE HUMAN THINGS."
"LOOKED LIKE YOU BUT YOUNGER AND NOT GREY. CREEPY."
"HIM SAW AND FREAKED OUT YES HE DID. HE PRAYED LIKE ME WAS DEMON BUT NOT DEMON IM HUMAN LIKE YOU OR ME."
"RAN. FOLLOWED FOR BIT, HEARD HIM SAID HE NEED TALK TO GOD. TALK TO GOD ON LAYER 3, CHURCH THERE?"
Angel. You recognized that name. A forced grin creeps across your face. Your face twists as if you're having a miniature, localized stroke.
