>>5453473Roughly a million questions all bounce around in your mind at once, leaving you completely speechless. The grand elder chuckles at this, continuing to talk as you sort your mind out.
“I can tell you have many questions.” he says, a knowing look in his eye. “So, for us to speed this along a bit, would you allow me to reach out directly into your mind?”
“Of course.” you reply, taking a deep breath and sighing out. You then reach out telepathically, asking him your first question. “I already figured this power had a darker source than the normal Super Saiyan power, as it wants nothing more than to rampage. And I even know it has some resistance to divine power, thanks to my fights against certain deities. But this Saiyan war is something I haven't heard of before. If I'm clearly a descent of these so-called Evil Saiyans, what happened? Did they win?”
“A sad tale it was, the end of Planet Sadala.” Guru replies telepathically, sighing aloud. “The Super Saiyan God fought valiantly, and had bested his opponent. But before the final blow was struck, that divine power ran out and he reverted back to normal. The Berserker took full advantage and killed him, then kept rampaging. However, he was unable to control this power, unable to control the rage and went wild. He was unable to distinguish friend from foe, attacking indiscriminately. The survivors of the war all banded together, combined their resources to create a vessel to escape the rampaging monster. However, the day of their departure, the Berserker discovered the ship. A bloody battle was fought, many proud warriors of both sides giving their lives to stall the rampaging Evil Saiyan and allowing the rest to escape. As the ship fled, they watched as the planet they'd left behind was destroyed, no doubt by the Berserker.”
“Which brings me to another question.” you say, something on your mind. “If divine power is acquired from worship, what does that mean? Are Chaya's fans from that Dreadzone thing she did somehow fueling this new form? What counts as worship, or belief? Is it only her fanatical fans that make her stronger, or is it all of them?”
“What is belief? A question older than any life on most worlds.” Guru adds. “But a simple way to put it is that, the stronger one's Faith is in their chosen deity, the more power they contribute. And of course, the more mortals that have Faith in their chosen, the more divine power is generated. Even Guardians such as myself possess some small measure of divine power.”
“That explains why her power like that is so strong.” you say, briefly explaining Dreadzone to the Namekian elder and how hundreds of worlds would gather to watch her.
