As far as Quetz is concerned, she's completely fine with the Crucible's presence given that its behavior completely lined up with Aztec mythos, and wouldn't mind the Crucible's cycle being stopped entirely, but if the Defiant's plan somehow fails, then it would be clear that the Aztec/Mayan records had a solution to the problem and a way to maintain the current status quo...
