GLADTOHELP: It’s…conflicting information, to say the least. Very violent attitude from the apparition. Clear prior connection. Distrust or fear of the husband.
GLADTOHELP: She’s supposed to be something of a higher class, yet possible previous association with someone who talks more lower class.
GLADTOHELP: Those two men we know about, she clearly fears the hell out of them. But they’re different kinds of fear.
GLADTOHELP: She fears the husband because she sees him as a threat. She fears the other out of denial, of repression. She doesn’t want to remember or see him.
GLADTOHELP: Best to try digging into her relationship with them. Best lead we have so far.
GLADTOHELP: One last thing. Isn’t it suspicious how only a few hours after you visited her, the apparition appeared? Considering the reports I’ve heard of you fighting in combat...
ADMINISTATOR: The hell does that mean?
GLADTOHELP: Who knows. Good luck with figuring her out, sir.
Huh. Are you the type to remind someone of a bottle throwing maniac? Maybe…god, how old are you? You don’t even remember your birthday. Regardless, it’s better than nothing, so you’ll keep this new information in memory.
>Update Velvet’s Security Procedures: She cares about her reputation, so be careful and respectful unless stated otherwise. Do not accidentally dishonor her.
Respect, honor, all things someone of nobility would want. Or someone’s impression of what nobility wants. Noted.
>Have Kor looked over by medical. Make sure they are aware of what happened to him, and the subsequent oddities (including Shot's reaction to him).
>Get Employee N some medical assistance for his burns from Velvet from before, if he hasn't already done so
>Give Demon's Tooth to Delta. He deserves it.
Might as well check up on your medbay while you're at it. It’s still as hectic and as busy as you remember it being, what with two of your employees functionally being resigned solely for medbay duty. Employee E and S are tending N’s wounds, while Employee A is busy dealing with Kor.
In the background, you can see Delta cuddling the demon’s tooth. Reminds you of a Harvester hugging a maggot, tender love for something that doesn’t really warrant such fixation. Hopefully he doesn’t become too attached to it.
“C’mon, Arthur, it’s not that big of a deal.” Kor waves a hand at Employee A. The halo-adorned boy doesn’t respond, only gesturing to Kor to sit down on a nearby chair. With some hesitation he does so.
“I’m sorry, Administrator’s orders. Rather not take any risks.” A pulls up his PDA, which you quickly send over the information involving Shot and the “got violently stabbed by an anomaly’s tendril” incident, along with the other oddities.
It's hard to tell with how grainy the footage can be, even with the upgrade to your camera system, but you don't recall Kor smiling this much. Or sweating as much.
[HOPELESS WRECK] REMINDS YOU OF MEAT SWEATS.
