"It's so beautiful..." Summers uttered. She actually smiled, looking over at Catastrovania; "Isn't it?"
"Eh... I-I guess it's pretty neat... not as neat as what we had in Yongesia..."
Secretly, she held this as the most exciting trip she's been on in a long time.
"Aye. Watch yer steps, my kits! Take care notta' trip or yew'll bruise yer knee! An' one ting more, when we're crossin' the bridges, we all form a line an' hold on by each oddeh's shoulders, yeh?"
"Hsss... Why?" Catastrovania puffed.
"Cause we dun' wanna risk this bad luck mumbo jumbo makin' wunna' them bridges collapse all offa' sudden an' wunna' us drops." Seannsa stressed.
"...Uh, hey... these paths aren't usually traveled a lot right? Who is... that?"
"Eh?"
Seannsa looked ahead.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JexVGuA75XQThe path through the rise they took was stone, natural rock underfoot that had been carved into a long road of steps going up and down, surrounded on both sides by dense foliage. Up ahead, they saw it going up, over an elevation leading to their first long bridge in Shílín. And standing there, two figures. A male with a cape flowing behind his back, clutching a short sword. The other a lanky female in a wavy dress, clutching an umbrella and spinning it in her hand slowly.
"...These guys look shady..." Summers said, lifting her hat for a better look.
The figure standing on the path ahead took a few steps closer then, the levitating one following behind him.
"OI!" Seannsa suddenly shouted, raising her claw; "Not ano'tter step there! Thas' close enough!"
The figure did not yield.
"Are ye' deaf?!"
"...Koimaru." He suddenly uttered.
The decapitated head in the sack Catastrovania held over her shoulder gasped, and jolted.
"Central-------Master?!"
"...You failed." The figure said.
Seannsa squinted. So these were more of the Cadre then.
The figure before her, this "Central Master", he held a pagoda in his hand. He stared at her. There was something deeply... unrelenting about him. About his very posture. And that cape... that brown cape.
"Jus' loik... that man...?!"
"...Return him to me." He simply asked.
Something was off. It made her want to comply with him...
>Fine. Take him back but leave us the hell alone.>Nah. We'll keep him for ourselves.
