The Omnissiah was, for most matters, classified as a C’Tan Shard. A Shard of the Machine God and thus a piece of the divine being. Unlike other shards though, this shard was the only one that TalOS, the Worshiper, truly inhabited. This was what made this shard the Omnissiah.
Divine in this state, not needing food stuff and drink, the Omnissiah took in the concocktion. He enjoyed it for not the alcohol content but the taste of it. He could feel at all levels the inspiration, faith, and knowledge that had gone into creating this vintage. How the berry was developed thirty four centuries ago by the hands of a Roman upon the steppes of his homeland of Italy. That, instead of the more physical pleasures, was what the Omnissiah enjoyed.
“Ignorance is our enemy.” Malcador announced as he took a drink, “Both myself and the Emperor were curious about what it was that you were discovering. The Motive Force was a concept that I did not take too much stock into thinking it to be some play by the Warp. That the Cult Mechanicus had a belief so hard that it manipulated the fabric of reality itself.”
The man took in a sip of his glass. Such words were powerful admittances for someone like him to make, “The Emperor saw it in a similar light. He told me of his battle against a Dragon that was in truth an extraterrestrial lifeform that he did not fully understand. Thus he believed that your discoveries would bring to life the truth of the Dragon and being illumination.”
“It is a dangerous method with all the knowledge that he holds.”
“I agree. However we had reason to believe that the knowledge you were gaining could not come to harm us. It was the forces of Chaos, those of the immaterium, that were harmful to us and you were immune to their influences.” Malcador looked up to the Omnissiah, no, it was TalOS he was looking upon as the next words were spoken, “Beyond all others it was you who we saw as Loyal. No matter what road you took, that loyalty was to be manifested.”
“Such words even as someone like Fulgrim and Lorgar turned from the light?” The Omnissiah pressed forwards as a probing counter, “Fulgrim was inspired by the Emperor and many said Lorgar was the most Loyal. More loyal than even Roboute or Rogal.”
“If that is what you believe then maybe you are still fallible.” Such words were but a saving grace to Malcador. He began to build a concept that ‘The Omnissiah’ was not a god in the sense of omniscient, “Lorgar only worshiped the Emperor because he was programmed to. The same with Fulgrim, placing his ideals of perfection upon a man who is not perfect. They did not believe in the Galaxy the Emperor was crafting but the Emperor himself. You, as TalOS, believed in the vision of the Imperium. A vision that it was Mankind who shall rule the stars, not God-Tyrants.”
“Such a desired future is behind us now. You already know that for you have seen the seedlings of the Imperial Cult who see the Emperor for what he is.”
