The Emperor gestured, transforming the image into a new front of war, “Another item that has come to my attention, within the region of Terra, is a region that is currently controlled by Orks. Such a region, while small, appears to have so much metal that it's what attracted the Orks towards them. There have been rumors of humans being in the system, but that remains to be seen.”
“Orks you say, Father?” Leman Russ barked as he gave a small growl of pleasure, “Greenskin are always a good fight.”
“Leman, I do not believe you will be the best for the job ahead of us.” Declared Dorn as he glanced at his brother, “If there are humans within the system then we will need to negotiate. Your Legion does not have any iterators to facilitate such functions. As it is Orks, I see it reasonable that the Imperial Fists be those who drive them back.”
Leman Russ looked to his side to measure Dorn, as to what TalOS knew to be the logic. Leman Russ was not dumb and his barbarity was an extension of his intelligence. He grew a small smile to answer, “Fine, you can have that murdermake.”
“Thank you for seeing reason, Brother.” Rogal answered his brother before looking back as his father, “The Imperial Fists will cleanse the system of the Greenskin menace. That you have my word.”
“Father.” Before the Emperor could answer Dorn TalOS decided to ask a question, “You say that these worlds are full of metal. Is there a potential that this region could have once been a host for Mega-Projects once hosted by the Federation?”
The Emperor gave a small nod as he answered, “It was the site where mankind would test technology in an area far enough away from Terra that it would not damage it, but close enough that they can pull resources from it. Does the Mechanicum have an interest in the region?”
TalOS looked over towards Rogal who seemed to understand the undercurrent of what TalOS was trying to do, “With permission from Rogal I would like to join him as a representative of the Mechanicum. I have an individual who I can trust to be my Regent, so it is no mistake for me to make this incursion outside of the Federation for a few years.”
Rogal gave a small nod as he heard those words, “I do not have an issue with this, if you allow it Father.”
The Emperor thought to himself before giving a nod, “It will be allowed. It would be wise to take support as the Orks might have tried to resurrect old technology.”
TalOS felt a creep going up his spine at the thought, “Thank you Father.”
