[red]"Well, when you put it like that…"[/red] you said, weakly.
[red]"As things stand, I'd say it'll cost you…$3 mil."[/red] Terminal declared.
[red]"$3 million dollars!?"[/red]
[red]"You don't know shit about this thing. You don't know what it looks like, how tough it is to kill, its offensive capabilities, its location, or how smart it is. This is shit that people like me need to know, and you just have me going in blind."[/red] Terminal described in a surprisingly eloquent way. He didn't cough or sniffle a single time during that rant.
[red]"Either you figure out more information and come back later,"[/red] he continued. [red]"Or you hire me now and pay my fees. After that, I'll handle the rest. Because when I kill something, it stays dead as fuck."[/red]
You glanced at Morbius, and the look on his face told you that he could guess what you were thinking.
[red]"If Terminal's rates are too steep for your liking,"[/red] he began. [red]"We can always come to a deal ourselves."[/red]
[red]"On two conditions."[/red] you said with a finger raised to the air. [red]"Cindy won't be a part of whatever this is, and my team isn't included in this debt. If you want to hire them, you'll have to pay them normal rates."[/red]
Morbius hissed. [red]"Don't be ridiculous, Huntsman. If I wanted to make a deal with Miss Moon, then I would have spoken with her directly."[/red] he said, pointing a fanged finger at the girl. [red]"And secondly, it is entirely up to me whether I [b:lit]feel[/b:lit] like hiring your men for said favor. I have not met them, and thus, I do not have many reasons to trust them. If I do not like what I see, then I won't allow them to accompany you on any mission that I deem important or sensitive."[/red]
The bluntness of his statement caught you off guard for a moment, but you quickly recovered.
[red]"If all my requirements are met, then, and only then, will I allow them to accompany you. Do keep in mind, however, that there are some missions that will require a more sensitive touch."[/red] he continued. [red]"A scalpel, and not a mallet. If you wish to work for me in the future, then you will have to prove that you are the former."[/red]
Morbius extended a pale hand over to you. You stared at it, and then back at him.
[red]"I can cover about half for a simple job. But if you want me to waive the entire fee, then I'm sure we can find something more…suited to your talents. Do we have a deal?"[/red]
What will you do?
>Offer to do a small job.(Half the fee will be waived)
>Offer to do a more complicated job.(The entire fee will be waived)
>Hire Terminal for the full fee.
>Attempt to haggle with Terminal.
>Turn down both, and offer to gather more information before returning to make the same offer.
>Write-in.
