Lorch turned around and saw the Astartes and Skitarii arriving before him. The Skitarii quickly glanced at the body of their Magos before looking at Lorch for whatever commands they could have. The Astartes had to admit that it was nice that protocol made changing commands seamless.
“We go for the Power System.” Declared the Astartes over a secured coms. Though if they were facing an AI he could already assume that the coms are not secured and have already been hacked.
“Understood.” Answered an Astartes while the Skitarii all gave him pings of affirmation. It was odd there for a moment hearing their ‘voices’ be closer to a thought than actual words. The Astartes would need to get use to it quick through.
“L3KT you are to stand between all of us. I will be next to you.” Declared the Astartes as he walked next to the Acillian, “Two Astartes in the front and one at the rear with Skitarii between all. Move OUT!”
Upon his words their actions were made. The Skitarii and Astartes quickly taking up positions all around them. Marching order made they quickly started moving with the mapping fields of their display quickly being filled out by L3KT.
It was a simple fact that if they lost the Acillian that they would all be dead.
“Turrets are no longer in their previous position.” Declared the Astartes at the head of the group when they rounded into the main hallway. Lorch caught sight of it too as the security system was now missing from their locations.
+I see three hostiles, none of them are looking to engage though. They are currently retreating from us.+ Declared L3KT through what was hopefully a secured coms.
+So… its learning.+ Lorch said as he gave a small tick of frustration.
+We are lucky that the Magos severed its Radio communication. If it still had such communication it might have attempted to breach our Power Armor’s Aegis.+ Declared the Acillian as he gave a small audible click, +We should expect a tactic to be employed soon. Pray to the Machine God that the AI has not learned enough about us to engage in a perfect strategy.+
