"What kinda lackluster ambush is this?? Get down from there, now!" You yell, which might have disturbed Craig because he squirmed a bit.
"Oh shit, she's got a gun! What should we do?" One of the ambushers exclaimed, loud enough for you to hear.
"I don't wanna get shot!" The other said to their comrade, before speaking to your direction. "Okay, okay! We're coming down!"
A short time later, the two would-be ambushers had descended from their rope and showing signs of surrender.
"We're sorry! Please don't shoot us!"
Why, they're just kids! Kids around Craig's age! One seem to be an insectoid boy, and the other a reptilian girl. Orphans, perhaps? You keep your gun trained on both.
