>>5196995>Pick a comedy.“How about a comedy?” You ask. The cinema unfortunately has rather meagre offerings compared to one you might find on land, but you find something. A detective movie, in the vein of Sherlock Holmes that promises to be amusing, at least on the promotional material.
You pay for tickets, then the two of you make your way into the cinema, you go light on the snacks since you just ate, but you still grab popcorn, since you can’t watch a movie without it, and head in. You get a few minutes of advertising, but less than usual on a mainland cinema before the movie itself begins.
You very quickly realise, that it isn’t a very good movie. It’s funny, but not in the way it’s trying to be – the characters act like idiots, even though they’re meant to be some of the smartest people in the city. You do quickly find yourselves laughing at them and the absurdity of the movie though. At the very least you get your money’s worth in laughs, even if it’s not in the way the creator intended.
“We should’ve asked for our money back,” Yuzu muses, still giggling after the two of you take your leave.
“Well, we had fun, didn’t we?” You reply. “That’s worth paying a little bit for, isn’t it?”
“Bah, they cheated!” Yuzu replies, shaking her fist towards the cinema.
“And I’m sure they’ll get their comeuppance,” you reply, snickering at her antics. “Let’s head home.”
The two of you walk back, and your lights are on, signifying someone’s home. Erika, you expected, but Anzu, Momo, and Hana are also there.
>“A surprise party? Why wasn’t I invited?”>Quietly ask Yuzu if this is ‘simple’ enough for her.>Let it run its course, Anzu and Momo have known Yuzu far longer than you.>“Everyone out, that is an order.”>Write-in
