Our job is to buy time, and hold the Impossible City. For however long there is a presence in the Webway, the Emperor does not need to activate the Golden Throne to seal it. If we can prevent the Emperor or Malcador from having to sit on the Golden Throne, perhaps he can empower the Void Shields of the Imperial Palace and buy time for reinforcements to arrive. That means replenishment, recycling troops, and slowly sealing off the webway corridors one by one.
There are Eldar here, right now beyond the demon lines, also doing that, burning away the parts of the webway leading to their precious Craftworlds. Now they have a master of Dolemen gates among them who can do the same.
