It wasn't easy at first of course, he thought you a monster and to you he was just another human. Misguided relatives of yours, dwelling on land and deaf to your mother's cries. You felt sorry for the humans, and did all you could to help them, whenever you could. Of course it was mostly done for mother's sake and in the process of helping humans you taught them of her, and her ways. Spreading the faith with you where you went, as was the purpose your goddess conceived you for in the first place. Although it was always at a distance, in your experience having a difficult time with the humans because of your monstrous nature. Always watching and helping from afar, only occasional and strained personal interactions with the humans here and there.
This man however... he's different. More than just the bond you've formed, he actually makes you feel like one of them. A fellow human, different yet the same, and he's helped you to recognize the part of you that is human. To accept it, consider its future. Hells, more than just part but fully half-human, and with a human mother to boot... even if she is a divine being.
<span class="mu-b">"...aaalright, I guess maaaybe... I could at least see your home, your village, you haven't shut up about it these moons passed."</span>
<span class="mu-s">"Oh you'll see it alright, but I'll make sure you stay!"</span>
<span class="mu-b">"Oh really? And how will you do that?"</span>
A fanged grin widens on your face, as you playfully exercise your demi-godly strength over the man. Another, unexpected kiss overcomes you however.
<span class="mu-s">"I'm sure we'll find a way to keep us together."</span>
And so then you playfully tumble about in the sand beneath the palm trees, spending one last lovely night together in each other's arms. This is the last island before his home after all, the end of his journey near. Come the morning you return to the sea to swim the rest of the way, him holding your fin and riding on your back all the way. And even before you reach land you start to see signs of habitation, people out on boats around the island, the sight of this making the young chief rejoice and you able to share in his joy with your own hopes and imaginings of being among them.
