Marjun realizes he has not been with his family in a long time, nor actually talked that much with the new arrivals from Belenoor.
Belenoor is a coastal city located south east from Trenfel, and is cut off from the rest of the empire by the redwoods. They are Majority Ejeneer, another subculture of Ejentelic. They are considered a brother culture of Ejudic, sharing many customs. Their language could be considered a dialect, but there is many words, mostly nouns, that are very different from Ejudic.
Ever since the problems caused by the Redwood Commons, Belenoor has been in a precarious position. Their own intelligence indicates that the Commons are planning to cause problems for anyone loyal to the empire. Since Belenoor is uniquely positioned away from the empire by the redwoods, they have notified Marjun and his council that they intend to declare independance, in fear of war or worse.
Many citizens of Belenoor have come to Trenfel for protection, before any expected fighting breaks out. The transport of these people as paid for by Trenfel, under the condition that Trenfel takes primarily empire loyalists and the most important people.
Some of these, is the family of the First Citizen of Belenoor, invited by Marjun to live in his home with his family. The family from Belenoor is rather large, and Marjun believes it likely he may not even have met the entire family.
Marjuns closest familymembers consist of the following:
His uncle Benj , currently overseeing Marjuns logging and cooping business. He is a kind man, who has taken it upon himself to house and employ some refugees from Belenoor. A small community has grown around the business, with most everyone loyal to Benj and Marjun.
His brother Perej , which is becoming quite the successful trader. Since he gets family prices on barrels, he has long had an advantage in selling wine. Currently conducting a lot of trade with the northern kingdoms, where he has grown very influential as a trader.
His cousin Barunja , oldest son of Benj. Paid lavishly for working with Benj, he has learned how to efficiently spend money. Has aspirations to enter politics, and is working to promote the interests of Marjun and his family.
