“Joe? The Assembly guy?” You recall that unforgettable name…
“Yes! That one!” Amelia is surprised you remember. You wonder why. “Billy only focused on retreating, and that’s what he did. Now the problem is...”
“Problem is?” You raise an eyebrow.
“Carmella stole Billy away.” Amelia makes this shocking reveal.
“Why?” You’re confused. You must help Billy, baby!
“I don’t know…” Amelia is as confused as everyone else. “But don’t worry! Like I said, the cats are on the case!”
“Let me know if you need any help…” You’ll offer assistance. Amelia nods rapidly.
“Another biggie! The biggest nastiest criminal in the history of Prancijan escaped jail!” Amelia starts looking sideways, all shifty. Is that why she’s worried? “The cats learned that ‘The Markgician’ was the mastermind behind this move!”
“What? That kid?” You’re deeply confused. The goofy cult guy who steals underwear?!
“Yes! Becoming a wanted criminal was all part of his plan to get access to the super prison!” Amelia can’t believe the GENIUS of the Markgician.
“I hardly doubt it. Who’s this super-criminal?” You wanna know more.
“No clue. All records of his existence were wiped…” Amelia gets worried. Who could possibly be that bad that you have to do that? You could guess, but what’s the point? “But the truly spooky bit is that… the Markgician has a flame now!”
“How’s that spooky or possible?” You don’t get it.
“We don’t know… Only Judges can hand over flames, but they all denied having a hand in it!” Amelia recounts Constance’s experience.
“I mean, one of those Judges is a known liar AND an idiot.” You point out that Gerard is a judge.
“Hmmm, I don’t know, it happened during the defense protocol, so they were all with each other in the Distant Frontier, all have solid alibis.” Amelia reveals that it isn’t that simple.
“Huh, that’s odd.” You’re starting to get it. “Anything else?”
