Intrigued, you ask about this Clownopolis place. From the sound of it you can guess who it's inhabitants are... Or were. What happened that turned their city to ruins?
"The clowns used to be allies, along with us and the mimes, but then things... Changed. It started slowly at first. The younger clowns came out... Scary. Terrifying even! Outright monstrous in some cases, some with teeth as sharp as knives, and laughter that rings through your bones, and an evil disposition to match. It even started to affect the older clowns." The Jester King says dramatically as he leads you up some stairs. "They started to harass and waylay the common folk, so we and the mimes teamed up against them. Oh it was a horrible battle. Pies, juggling pins, balls and knives flying through the air... Tiny cars slamming into our fighters, only to disgorge whole squads of clowns, brandishing balloons. I'm pretty sure I saw one of them summon a giant, evil looking Helicopter."
"Knives I get, but pies and balls?" Kamiko asks.
"Yes, well that's probably why we ended up winning. Mimes have their weird glamour, but Jesters have magic!" He says, holding up a stick with a carving of a jester's head on top. He then pulls out a black sphere with a burning wick and says, "And explosives. We had lot's of those."
"W-whoa! Hey! It's lit, it's lit!" Emogen says pointing at the shortening fuse. Everyone backs away.
"Huh? Oh, sorry." The Jester King says, putting it back in his pocket. A moment later there is a muffled explosion, which causes his pants to flare out for a moment. "Opps, pardon me."
"I liked your fart joke better, dad." Tamako says, though she's clearly trying to hold back some laughter.
You tell Kamiko you have a hunch that the GPT robots might be involved in this. Perhaps they replaced the ex-wife, or are attempting to replace the daughter.
"I'm sorry, do what now?" The Jester King asks.
"Don't worry about. Just a lead the SHR are trying to follow up on." Kamiko says diplomatically.
You can't put your finger on why, but staring at the picture gives you a hunch that the Princess might in fact, be interested in this Clownopolis place. Is there really nothing left there for her to see?
"What nonsense no, she must be at Stripe City! My daughter would have no reason to go to that dastardly, derelict pile of debris. W-why are you trying to suggest she would be interested in such a place? Are you saying she is part clown? Ha! Is it the big red nose? I'll have you know that's just a birth defect! The completely white face is just her anemia, and what's wrong with having a white face anyway?" He says guardedly, motioning to his mask.
