>>5465983Latte and Java are likewise not quite able to get through unscathed, as they are definitely more easily spooked by what they see in the House of Nightmares. They hold strong through four of them, but the fifth one ends up kinda… unexpected, if you were being honest, but a set of gnomes with several articles of very obviously stolen undergarments are where Latte draws the line, and she runs out of the haunted house shrieking.
Aaaand four points.
Izzy and Tapion manage things much better than the other two, getting seven of the attractions out of the way through some… creative uses of her Light-boosted Solar Flare. It doesn’t damage anything, but it sure as heck keeps things from pestering her. On number eight though, they get into a brightly lit ancient hallway… one with an eerie silence to it. As they walk, Izzy starts to get uneasy, noticing SOMETHING moving around the quiet space, yet not making a sound as it does. When she tries her trick again though, she glimpses something… odd. Something that gets her running, but not away from it. Towards it. Which gets her running through one of the exits. When she realizes what she’s done, her head hangs in defeat, Tapion walking to her and putting a hand on her shoulder comfortingly.
There’s… an odd look on her face, one that gets you asking if there was something wrong. Izzy just vaguely replies she must have been seeing things. Well… okay. Seven points for them!
Sachie and Atole manage to get through six challenges, Sachie showing less fear than Atole does, but it’s challenge seven that gets her. You have to admit, a room full of expired ramen is certainly a… unique fear, but it’s one that gets her running in terror. She even ends up checking her backpack for some… spare instant ramen she had on her. She sighs in relief, but Atole’s just left mostly confused.
Six points!
Sala and Zarid make it through five, before the illusion of a snake-spider hybrid monster manages to spook Sala enough that she ends up… attacking it in a fight-or-flight response. Thankfully it was just an illusion, but she DOES end up smashing through a wall in trying to get it. Which counts as a definite loss. Mom and Pantea end up patching up that wall.
Five points.
Angela and Penn get through four, only to be scared off with a mummy monster in the fifth room. Four points for them.
Hakka and Cheelai attempt to put on brave faces, looking to keep their lead going strong… but the two of them turn and run from a giant octopus-robot monster. That’s only five points for Team Green.
Phanty and Gohan though? They make good on their promise. Your brother walks through each of the challenges unphased, and while the unsettling Ghost Buster illusion does spook her, Gohan’s able to keep her calm and walk her through it. And so, they make it through to the end!
