“Horus Lupercal would agree with that assessment.” TalOS told the Marine as he gave a solemn nod towards a small group, “That group there is slated to become a Detachment of his Exploratory Fleet. Them, along with their Skitarii cohorts and Acillians will prove the value of man.”
“What is your reasoning for employing such human troops?”
“Force Multiplication.” TalOS declared first and foremost, “A Skitarii and an Astartes carry armaments that are equal in ability with the Astartes holding the advantage in armor, toughness, and melee. By employing the Astartes as armored divisions I can see the amount of force available multiply.”
“Understandable operational strategy. I however cannot consider employing that due to command limitations.”
“What kind?”
“As Legion Master of the Astartes, not a General of the Imperialis Auxilia. I cannot expect an Imperial Soldier to follow my commands like that of a battle brother, they do not have the vitality of an Astartes, nor do they maintain morale when witnessing Astartes operations.”
TalOS felt a moment of confusion come upon his mind, “They break upon witnessing their own soldiers fight?”
“Transhuman Terror.” Declared the Astartes as he gave a motion to the battle before them, “From the few that have operated with us, they do not comprehend the scale of power that we operate upon. When we fought together on Terra, I have seen reports of Auxilia joining the enemy and fighting Astartes and Thunder Warriors alike.”
TalOS blinked as he heard such words.
