>>5701640"So that's how he disappeared the last time..." Guts stares at the moon with his mouth wide open, trying to wrap his head around the hell his son managed to walk around the spiral tree.
"Well, he is a spirit of sorts, after all. I imagine that he only has enough power to show himself as he is during full moon nights. Whenever the sun shines once more, he shall turn back to his original form. There must be a reason for why he doesn't want his parents to see him that way..."
"Yeah... I'm sure he has his reasons..." Guts remembers on how not too long ago, the form his child took was the one of a demonic, aborted fetus, one that protected his mother with all his power and claimed for the approval of his father, yet received none of it. Feeling hurt as the feelings of fatherhood started to grow within him, Guts asked an earned question to Sivir.
"Is there any way you could turn him back to normal? I know you're still figuring out how your new abilities work, but the next time he shows up... I wish for him to have a normal life, the one a child like him deserves..."
"Guts..." Casca approaches her past lover, with mixed feelings on how she feels towards his words, yet another migraine makes her crouch still, as the stress from the mandragoran curse still reminds her that she doesn't feel entirely safe around Guts without some sort of magic to ease her anxiety from triggering.
You can understand why Lucio has to go away at sunlight, but how he can control the spiral tree's branches better than Sivir is another story altogether... Does Casca and Guts have some latent astral power you are not aware of? It seems to be the case, given the Behelit Guts carries around, but it's hard to really evaluate the situation without any hard evidence...
"Right, Sivir. Given your specialty in plants, I was wondering if you could maybe remove the curse from her body."
"Sivir ponders if she should be able to experiment on a curse that harms both body and soul, but nonetheless, after turning herself into a giant mandragora, she sings a lullaby that gently sends Casca to sleep before she returns to her regular form.
"I can make some antidote that can slowly remove her symptoms into full health, but the withdrawal might be too much for her to take while staying awake. I'll take a few days and you will likely find a better alternative once you reach Danaan, but--"
"Thank you." Guts cuts her off with his sincere gratefulness." Perhaps now, we can finally achieve a sense of normalcy between us as a..."
"Family?" Isma tilts her head to Guts.
"Yeah... That. Still getting used to it, I guess." He chuckles to the girl.
"Don't worry, take it from Auntie Sivir! She's the best mom to have!" Isma laughs along with Guts.
>So what will you do now, Isma?>That reminds me, do I have a true name like Isma does?>Guess we're both full of good news to tell our families, right Guts?>Write-in.
