Activity within the Imperial Palace was incredible. Every foot of brick was used by the people navigating its halls to find the utmost utility. If even a single foot of space was wasted for something like convenience then that would spell five thousand pounds of both food and munitions lost.
Many of these movements were being articulated by the Fabricator General of Mars who was now manning logistical duties. It was not the Emperor or Malcador who had organized the initial supply fleets but Kelbor Hal. Even as TalOS had taken the role as envoy of the Mechanicum to the War Council Kelbor had selfishly kept the keys to what was the logistics of a Crusade within his pocket.
Only Roboute Guilliman could claim to have better knowledge in this field than Kelbor. However Kelbor had forty years more experience against the Primarch in addition to his knowledge of manufacturing.
As Kelbor worked his wonders Mars was finally cleaned of its rememants after a month of work. Never had a planet been cleaned so clearly of all pieces of working metal or automatons. Not even the natural passage of time would have so cleanly erased the existence of mankind upon the planet of Mars as the Imperium had.
The Omnissiah was happy with this. Not that it had happened but that it was completed. Horus Lupercal would find that Mars, which upon his command was driven to revolt, was no longer a safe haven for his craft or a potential den of resources. He would not even bother to send a detachment down upon the Red Planet or waste a Cyclone Round upon the planet. It would be a great waste for a planet which was turned into a wasteland of nothing but water and red dirt.
As his duty here was done the Divine decided it was time to arrive upon Terra. He had been holding off this for he knew exactly who was waiting for him upon the planet and the request they would thrust upon him.
After all, beyond everything, they feared what was the truth of the Universe would go out.
