<span class="mu-r">“Let her do it, mom! That’s the girl that rescued you during that riot, when Rich was in the hospital. She’s gonna take him to the hospital.”</span> you said. <span class="mu-r">“Help her get him on there, and show her how to get to the nearest hospital on your Osberry.”</span>
<span class="mu-g">“A-alright, dear. Let me just map it out…”</span>
After some fumbling and muttering, your mother informed you that she would be tailing Cindy in her car to make sure that they both got to the hospital. You thanked her, ended the call and stashed the phone back into your pocket before running back out in the living room.
<span class="mu-r">“Rich! We’ve gotta go!”</span> you shouted.
Your brother came running down the stairs a moment later, with Flint right behind him.
<span class="mu-b">"What happened?"</span>
<span class="mu-r">"Dad's in the hospital! He's been shot, I think."</span>
Both men's eyes widened in horror. <span class="mu-b">"What!?"</span>
<span class="mu-r">"Save your questions for later. We've gotta go.”</span> you declared, opting to change into your spider suit right in front of him.
The man had a bewildered look on his face. <span class="mu-b">“What are you-?”</span>
<span class="mu-r">“It’ll be faster this way.”</span> you answered, pulling your mask on. <span class="mu-r">“Flint, buddy, can you stay here and watch over them while we’re gone?”</span>
<span class="mu-g">“Can do, pal. Lemme know how your old man’s holding up when you get there.”</span> he said.
<span class="mu-r">“Will do. Lemme know if anything happens on your end. We’ll be back soon.”</span> you replied, gesturing for Rich to follow as you finished pulling on your gloves and footwear.
<span class="mu-b">“You did that <span class="mu-i">really</span> fast…”</span> your brother remarked, trailing after you out the back door.
Instead of answering, you grabbed him by the waist with one hand, lifted him off the ground and used your free hand to fire a webline into the distance.
<span class="mu-b">“Whoa! Hold up! What’re you-”</span> he tried to ask, but it was too late.
<span class="mu-r">“Hold on!”</span> you shouted, before launching yourself into the air with your brother in tow. Judging from the way he screamed, he wasn’t a huge fan of this method of travel.

Upon arriving at the hospital, you set Richard down, moved into an alleyway and changed back into your civilian clothing. By the time you got back, the guy was still throwing up.
<span class="mu-b">“Just…gimme a sec. I’ll be with you in a-”</span>
A pained retching sound escaped his lips, along with another wave of vomit. You shook your head and decided that you didn’t really have time to stand around and wait for your brother to regain his bearings. The Wall-Crawler was nowhere to be found, so you figured that Cindy must have parked it somewhere else after helping your father inside.
<span class="mu-r">“I’ll meet you inside.”</span> you said, running into the hospital’s waiting lounge. Your mom was there, but she hadn’t noticed you yet. She was sitting alone, her hands clasped together and held in front of her face, as if she’d been praying.
If what she said was true, then dad must be in the OR right now.
