They were not without losses, one Master Percy of Aubrey and Brother Riche of St. Gabriel’s Gate perished on the way. Sir Andrei seemed pained by his failure to protect them, I saw no need to for admonishment in this regard. With a further contingent of eighteen being escorted in the next few days, we expect the total number of pilgrims at this Sandag’s Long Walk to number 97 in total.
There have been no further incidents since my last correspondence, and one should hope that remains the case.

You are told that some 97 souls are expected to attend the vigil. But 23 of those souls, <span class="mu-s">twenty-three</span> not even counting yourself and your attendants, have been guided here safely by you and yours. It is a wonderful achievement, and you are filled with a sense of righteous pride. Not only because of the joy in overcoming a difficulty journey, but because you honoured your promise to the Gilles de Moray.
Exactly as any knight worth the title should, yes, but there are not many knights you could name that have actually done so.
