>>5729145Ah that picture is the mirror image / time loop vaguely Hong Kong city chase one right? Yes that one was pretty good, catchy music too! I think my favourites were the sailing ship / crab monster galleon one, the spacestation dream hallucination one, the demented conquistador jungle one, the futuristic mercenary and cyborg woman in the desert canyon shootout one? also that amazing CGI space gunship battle one, so many explosions gungho militarism hehe. Something I kept looking for in these short films was some sort of moral message or lesson, it turns out they are just mostly CGI showcases lol. I felt the emotional impact would have been stronger if they had some more morality or conveyed some emotional message but it seems like they are just sensational indulgences in visual FX spectacle. But even though they are generally extremely stereotypical predictable sci-fi stories, the graphics do make them genuinely watchable and thrilling. The style of Love Death + Robots also reminds me of that youtube channel DUST which has lots of short sci-fi films with generally high production value, eg the spaceship ATROPA one

>>5729162My contribution to the gun discussion is this meme helical mag smg yay. I like helical magazines I first saw one on that fictional Helghast 3 round burst handgun in Killzone lol, the one that looks like a hybrid combination of a Luger toggle-lock hammer, an MP7 and a Bizon mag, that Helghast gun was so cool looking. If I remember though it was a bit weak because the ISA pistol was ridiculously strong (I think it was a better weapon than the inaccurate assault rifles lol, excluding the underbarrel grenade launchers) as it headshot everything. I was so infuriated in Killzone 2,3 and even Shadowfall, the guns all became a bit generic aim down sights call of duty, the original had the best and most distinctive firearms.
Actually a very rare helical magazine gun to find in any videogame is not this pp-19 Bizon but instead the Calico smg, this one
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calico_M950https://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Calico_Series_of_Rifles_and_PistolsThe Calico 50 or 100-round smg is barely in any videogames, a very very long time ago I played a really old (it is a bit rubbish, do not play it) shooter called Chaser that had it. A few 1980s films also used that weird 100 bullet drum mag gun. I really like the look of it, it is just sort of clunky yet futuristic looking hehe.
