>>6236629You see her run back to you happily for another kiss, as if she was afraid you didn't realize how thankful she was you brought her here. It's almost a little embarrassing-- it didn't take that much work to reserve the dimension, after all.
"Hey." She points upward. "What do you think happens if I blow up the roof?" She asks.
"The roof is the one thing we aren't allowed to touch," you answer with a sigh. "However they only said that it's because the flowers up there were hot to act as a pseudo-sun, so I guess as long as you don't touch it directly-"
She doesn't let you finish your sentence, and starts setting up a few runes that are clearly aimed above you. "Today, I am killing the sun."
You hold on tight to the emergency runes you were given before coming here. She doesn't notice your strained smile as the runes interact in a strange way, creating an outwardly expanding laser that covers the sky, or lack thereof. When it's over, you find that the roof is, thankfully, still there, albeit not as bright as it used to be, with many of the hot flowers falling on the ground like small meteors. None of them keep their original heat by the time they land, even if you'd rather not take the risk.
Table looks a little bit disappointed. "Dude, that was almost all my mana, that totally should've worked. Maybe it was too vast? What do you think?"
"I think I like having the sun above my head, actually."
She pouts. "Boo, lame. The only sun I need..." She puts her finger against your chest. "...is right there."
You're blushing again, this wasn't even a good line, so why does it still work on you? "Yeah, well, uh..." You struggle to come up with a retort, but it's hard to beat something this cheesy. "...you're cool."
"Pfrrt, yeah, I am." She lets herself fall against you, her head against your shoulder. "But seriously, it was super fun, I might never have found out if not for you. I mean, maybe I would've, but like, waaay later. Besides, it's not as fun if someone isn't watching the cool stuff I do, you know? Having you here makes it better." She falls asleep against before you can answer, and you watch the dim light of this paradise until it's time to go.
