Head on into town with her, hoping that she can explain things well enough, or that you can demonstrate your divine might if she can't. It's not like you'd be in danger, at least. After felling the false god, you don't know if you have time now for subtlety. If you do not act to correct the ongoing faith of these people then in time, they could just spawn another corrupted avatar of you. Though you could spend more time for a careful approach, after troubles faced in the past, on this particular and unique matter you would rather act now if it could mean a better outcome.
So then with Cailinn to lead the way, you stomp along the rocky beach the rest of the way inland. Not too far, it is a coastal community after all.

<span class="mu-b">"Hey! Cut it out you wretches!"</span>
You thought by now the screaming would have subsided, but these people really are not getting used to you! It probably doesn't help that you wandered in during the night, even with an escort. First noticed by guards on the outskirts of the settlement, Cailinn tried to communicate... something in their language, and stop them. She did try hard, but the few man attempt to pull her away from you while others try and attack you, and one runs off to sound the alarm.
Of course they cannot hope to stop you, as their weapons can hardly scratch your hide, and you simply affirm your grip of the shamaness and pick her up to carry into town. A crude village compared to what you've seen of the humans elsewhere, it's no wonder they've faced hardships from the invaders... and now they think from you too, as folks gather to meet you with hostility.
<span class="mu-b">"-of course it would be the same, always the same everywhere I go, why would it be any different here?"</span>
Perhaps you are judging these people unfairly, already harassed and on edge by the invaders, and now a rogue sea monster stomps into their village in the night. But even still, their response annoys the hell out of you. All different responses from fear and panic and fleeing, to an assembled angry mob. The Gaelans labor under the delusion that they can somehow defeat you and save their homes, but even an entire crowd (admittedly disorganized) surrounding you cannot cause much harm if any at all.
