There was also Hercules. Last time you checked, he was a member of the Avengers. A replacement for the Hulk after his last, erm…’incident’. From what you’d seen on the news, Herc was a pretty big party animal; which made him a cool guy in your book. He was also technically a god, or…demi-god? Did demi-gods hear prayers?
It was worth a shot. Hell, you were getting so desperate that you were even considering…
No. Not him. He had failed to protect your father in the first place. You didn’t know if you could tolerate Khonshu’s presence right now, let alone pray to him. If you were in Cindy’s shoes right about now, you might be so bold as to question your faith in the Egyptian bird God.
Surely there were other gods to pray to.
There was Shiva! Four armed, big, blue, beautiful, wise and immensely powerful when compared to the other gods of the Hindu pantheon. He was also well known for his compassion. A guy like him could probably empathize with your plight.
Or…Anansi, the African trickster God! You didn’t know if he was real, but if he was, he’d probably like spider-themed metas…right?
Who will you pray to?
>Thor
>Hercules
>Shiva
>Anansi
>Khonshu
>No one. The gods have never answered your prayers before, so why should they start now?
>Write-in. (You're free to look up a list of the Marvel Gods and suggest a few.)
