>>5374788>>5374770>>5374731>Listen to the sea, and seek out whatever might catch your attention.Gathering up what little you currently own then, you prepare to depart your cave. By letting Faysal ride on your back, he is better able than you to navigate via the maps obtained, so you can have a much more efficient time of navigating the seas or at least the coasts around this region and beyond.
And so for a few moons you travel the seas in search of new opportunity, always keeping close to the mainland for whatever promise you might find there as well. Stopping where or when you feel like, pillaging a target when the opportunity is too good to pass up, and always making note of locations or details of interest. On the maps sure, but in your mind more so.
Eventually you can have explored the coast of much of this continent, at least as far as you can tell based on your estimations of the maps. A particular draw for you always was to follow the sea, listening to the ocean for what may catch your attention and using that as a guide. Secondary to that was any isolated places you could consider safe from enemies or prying attention.
To this end, after the passing of the moons and your time in travel, you can reflect back on what you found and decide;
>A wilder land of cruder-living humans who do in fact worship you, or at least their cultural impression of Tanaloa. With their own strange rituals and giving themselves to the sea, by your estimation from afar they may be some distant remnants of the old Atlanteans, though having forgotten their own past. Currently their land and lives are under attack by other invading humans, which is why you heard them calling out to you so strongly.>A sunken city of humans gifted in water magic, from contemporary times rather than some ancient civilization. Although they do not call out to you specifically, their presence in the ocean is impossible for you to miss, despite their secretive ways and avoiding the surface. Because of their nature it is not a particularly large settlement, but unlike Atlantis they aren't just squatting in ruins and typical to humans, they build and expand. >A small, bleak and distant land, mostly given to nature although there are some few humans here scraping out a meager life for themselves. Far from civilization, this place is remote enough that you could probably do whatever you wanted and would go unchecked by gods or men. Though, the hardy people may oppose you as they oppose all else, even other humans. >A bustling maritime city state, the largest naval hub you have seen yet, dwarfing even Atlantis. Though it lies in a more arid climate to Faysal's liking but your detriment, it is nevertheless a coastal and seaborne place. What more, as such an eclectic crossroads of human cultures and otherwise, there is no particular or controlling religion which might oppose you. Obviously as a sea monster you won't be welcomed, but people could come to accept faith in you at least.
