You break from the group with the berserker, leaving the gaslit light of their assemblage of lanterns behind–now, only the swaying of your own lantern affords you a view of the path ahead. You manage to duck through several corners and past the strange sound of scampering and clattering all around you, presumably the wolfman moving out of your sight–however, without such a large group, you come by the end of the corner with ease.
The light here is a welcome relief from the dark hall, but the air is all but sucked from your lungs at the sight of what waits for you at the end.
