You reach your hand out to parse through the spiral of madness. Swarms of nonsensical equations, numbers, and symbols flash through your mind. You can't quite make sense of it logically but you let your subconscious do the heavy lifting.
>35: SUCCESS>SPECIAL SIXES: BONUS!You pick a path that seems a bit more familiar to you. It's all subconscious, instinctual feelings. You don't know where you're going in your mind's palace, you only know your destination. You push past a particularly dense field of symbols and numbers to find your destination.
A flood of information rushes into your head before an intense pressure builds deep, deep inside your brain matter. A wispy, feminine yet not voice whispers into your ear again as the colors get brighter and brighter in your vision.
You've heard this voice before today, while meditating for this mission. You don't know who it is or how you can hear them...
"This world is governed by universal laws. My world. But I shall allow you to bend my rules. I love you. You will keep me safe." Your mind begins to bloom like a beautiful flower as you listen to its voi-
Your eyes snap open. Ashley, Lex, and Quentin are staring at you with mixed looks of worry, confusion, and curiosity. There's no weird features to them and the world has lost all of the blurred, drug-fueled splendor. You're back to a grey, boring alleyway caked in a thick orange haze. Still in District 8.
>SOMTOIN ALPHA has worn off. You get off the floor as you hand the three the gas masks you looted. "We're going inside to check the office and to loot whatever's still in there." You glance back at the Boss. He hasn't moved at all. Good. Your allies quickly put on their gas masks. Quentin raises a finger. "We should wrap up our bodies in as much cloth as possible. It may still burn our skin if exposed."
You and your allies proceed to do that, wrapping as many extra layers of jackets, shirts, and jeans as you can get off the corpses. You'll throw them away given they'll probably be contaminated anyways, so no need to look presentable. You head back inside the gas-filled base to see what you can find there.

It's a bloodbath in here, from what little you can see through the thick yellow gas that floods the base. The disco ball is the only light still on. Everything else has been smashed or knocked over in the mad rush to get out of here. You can hardly count how many bodies there are but it has to be a hundred at minimum.
"Fuck." Lex shakes his head. "You really did a number, huh?" He tries his best to lighten the mood. No one, including him, feels like laughing. The four of you trudge along over to the office. You doubt anything on the first floor is worth collecting given how contaminated it is.
The four of you go up the stairs and burst into the office, only to be met with high pitch screaming. What, no one should be here, who the hell could even be-
