The Ronin did his best to keep living as normal. His high rise apartment watched by his own private security teams had served as a shell at first, but the mayor's pressure gradually cracked even that. While Mizuchi could mime being a wealthy businessman, that didn't stand up under such heavy scrutiny and so he disappeared into the night before the noose could properly close around him. And so Miz found himself darting through alleys once again like the stray dog he was when he first came to this city. It was nice, in a way, to return to his roots.
Occasionally, however, he stopped by his backup apartment in Princeton. The Mayor didn't have much interest in clamping down on college kids partying in their complexes, it seemed. Probably part of the veneer this new order needed to keep, that the party city was still alive. It sickened Mizuchi what had been done to his home. Heat City was cruel, but cruelty was better than half life.
