I hear birds chirping, and endemic life crawling. A gentle breeze sweeps through the leaves on all these trees surrounding me. Slowly, I open my magenta eyes to the world again, and stand up from the rock I levitated over.
I was in Shengesia, the Imperial Continent, near the strait that divided it and Siegesia, the continent I called home, from one another. In the distance, I can hear something, and detect moving Spiritua. I am not fond of making contact... I... I have not, let's say, versed myself well in sociality, but my curiosity cannot help but be piqued. I grab a long brown cloak to throw over my shoulders, and hide my horn with it, giving the illusion of being taller than I actually was, and ensure my body is concealed before I hobble out onto the trail through the mountain passes marked by rows of stones to define them.
In the distance, I see what looks to be a carriage, or a caravan. I detect the presence of a single human... and... three dead ones.
But those other presences with it, that Spiritua ... I see. Immortals.
Closing in just a little further down the trail, I soon see it all in full. These Immortals, they are Samurai. Servants of the Great Tengu, and soldiers of the Trinity Kingdom. They are armed, of course, but their weapons are primed. The human there among them was clearly frightened, but he kept up such an act that he didn't look the part. He was brave to face them down like this, but foolish.
