>>5307806hmm...i can definitely see the possible logistics problem, but i don't think that it would take alot of resources. after all. we know that we are dealing with millions of thrones worth of food with just a singular shipment, if our starting population is something like, let's say 5000. that is a laughable small amount of consumption in comparison to somewhere like zidon V where there most likely is in the hundreds of thousands if not millions with how it mentioned our shipment would've sizably changed the food shortage problem, i would think we'd most likely see something like a starting cargo of...maybe 25 food, 15 tools, 8 luxeries, 7 alloys for possible re-inforcement of the habs and possibly 5 medicinal use narcotics for the enjoyment of the people there/actual medical equipment and they might be set for some 20 years.
i don't wanna make this depressing, but remember there are people within these societies that would gamble their entire lives just for a small amount more of pay, to possibly get to become colonists for an entirely new colony and gaining the higher possible ranks within a new society, to become the leaders where there previously were none, in a society less strict than the one previously. alot of people will take that offer, even if the first few years are gonna go by with the problems of starting up.
