After a while Joe looks up at the clock and whispers "Can I have those coins you showed me?" You reach into your jacket pocket and take out the coins and give them to Joe and he says "I'll be back as soon as I can."
Trevor watches Joe leave and then he looks at you and grins. "That must be the human boy."
What? Trevor can tell Joe is the human boy you were thinking about? You can't help <span class="mu-r">your cheeks</span> turning red! You look back down at the bathtub as quickly as you can and then peek at Trevor. When you look at Trevor he isn't even looking at you anymore! He's just grinning and giving the other mons their baths!
You and Trevor work all afternoon and...
What? You just realized Joe never came back? It's already time for Trevor to close his shop! You take off your apron and hang it up and Trevor looks at you and says "I won't be this busy again until next year's festival." He reaches into his pocket and takes out <span class="mu-r">a sack of coins</span> and hands it to you. "Here's <span class="mu-r">10 coins</span> for you." Trevor hands you another sack. "And <span class="mu-r">5 coins</span> for Joe."
You and your mon friends walk out the door and Trevor walks out and locks the door and looks at you. "Well, goodnight, Mashi."
You wave at Trevor!
"Goodnight, Trevor!"
"Ram-ram!"
"Tamounda!"
"Lottatax!"
You and your mon friends watch Trevor walk away and then you sit down on the step and watch the humans and their mons walking past. What? You just noticed the humans and their mons all seem to be going the same way? They're probably all going to the ceremony!
After a while you don't see any more humans around. When you look around you notice it's starting to get dark! Do you think Joe is coming back?
"Ram-ram!" Ramster points up the sidewalk and you see Joe walking toward you carrying <span class="mu-r">two bags</span>!
When Joe gets to the step he sets the bags down and sits next to you. "I got us some dinner." Joe reaches into one of the bags and pulls out<span class="mu-r">some fruit</span> and <span class="mu-r">some bread</span> and hands a piece of fruit to Ramster.
Ramster holds out his paws and says "Ram-ram!"
"There should be enough for everybody." Joe pulls out <span class="mu-r">a bag of candy</span>. "And here's dessert."
What? You think you recognize this food?
Joe reaches into the other bag and pulls out <span class="mu-r">a pair of sunglasses</span> and <span class="mu-r">a silly hat that looks like a Plodapod</span>!
Lottatax says "Lottatax!" and flattens his head spikes back! It seems like Lottatax thinks it's a real Plodapod!
Joe holds the silly hat out to you. What? Joe wants you to wear the silly hat? You can't believe it! When you look up at Joe he nods. "I saw some people wearing hats like this. It might help you blend in with the crowd."
You look around to make sure no one is watching and then you take off your baseball cap and put on the silly hat and the sunglasses!
Ramster holds up his paws in front of you with a square opening and looks through it with one eye and nods. "Ram-ram!"
