The Throne Room of the Dwarfs had a great difference between them and those of Mankind. Where the aim of Man’s Thrones were the sheer size and scale of them, each of them having a palace that was dedicated to the administration of their realm and for the sake of the Ruler’s vanity and prestige, a Dwarfen Throne was about the size one would expect from a Count. Even though he held the title of King the scale of his room and realm was equal to only the middling lords of Bretonnia.
What they made up for in scale was in how much work was placed into the place. All about the throne Lucian could see detailed carvings of deeds long past that had happened within this fortress. Just like those the Knight had witnessed sometime ago, the closer to the throne one was the older the works were.
About the room were ornaments carved in the face of their Ancestor Gods. To who each of these Gods were Lucian could not tell, yet he knew their names. One of them was surely Grumni, the Craftsman God who was said to be the father of their first High King Grombrindal. It was from him that the idea of Dwarfs were fashioned and all descendents shared a characteristic look from this deity.
Others were surely either Grimnir or Thungi, one their God of War and the other their God of Magic. Though Lucian could remember what calling their runecraft magic had caused Adok to do.
These figures, forged in the mighty fires of what was likely the greatest craftsman of their age, were made from the finest gold that Lucian had ever seen. He could not describe how he knew this to be fact but he could guess it was because of the sheer skill and craftsmanship within it. That the sculptures simply radiated the magnificence of the Ancestor Gods. And still, Lucian had to admit that this was likely the greatest amount of gold his eyes have been allowed to lay upon in his entire life. There was no contest that this might be the greatest concentration of gold this side of the Old World.
Upon the Throne of Karak Ziflin was someone as magnificent as the room he commanded over. The King of the Dwarfs wore a silvered beard that was ordained a great rings of gold to help decorate it. He was stout like all other Dwarfs, though Lucian was sure that he would not have any chance in moving the Lord from his throne.
Such was how immovable he seemed to be sitting there.
Here in this room was Lucian and Gillot, Lucian having Adok by his side while Gillot had none. His fellow Knight had not had the best few days, underneath his armor was a series of bandages. He was lucky though, he had only loss a lot of blood in the fight. None of his muscle were torn asunder and so he could still fight.
