The spiral that made up this operation was several miles long at this time. Such was the cost of having so little sloop that it did not make way in an efficient distance. As they slowly made their way down TalOS smelled the increased toxins of the excavation process. Such was the only issue of using Melta Weapons as you had to deal with both the sludge that was left behind as well as the smoldering smoke of whatever was atomized.
Such a reason was why the Meltas were such good excavation tools. When set correctly they will only destroy carbon based stone which is prevalent across the entire galaxy. The Carbon would disappear, leaving behind a purified ore of whatever material that was being hunted.
In this case it was not ore that was being hunted but infrastructure.
+So how is Trig and Vera doing on Lucius?+ UZ1 asked as they were halfway down the slope.
+They have been managing well for both of their lives. Vera is very attentive in her studies and is currently looking for someone to take her on as an apprentice.+ TalOS said as he thought to himself, +Trig is finishing his training with my sons. He has gotten some augmentations and will be able enough to fight on the front lines within a few more years.+
+I remember when we first picked them up and you brought them up to the Blackstone Fortress.+ UZ1 reminisced in a thought that was spoken out loud, +I know Vera has a good head on her shoulders and will find a willing Magos. Do we know where Trig will have his first campaign?+
+He will be sent to Pterraxi for the ever growing expeditionary fleet. I plan for when I march onto the battlefields once again that I bring him.+ TalOS dictated with a logical plan laid out.
+Really? Who convinced you to go abroad again~? I heard the Dragon of Lucius was content with his prize and wished to dwell on it.+ UZ1 joked with a hint of curiosity.
+My brother Rogal Dorn did so.+
+The Imperial Fist Primarch, when I met him he was so much like his sons it was uncanny.+ UZ1 said first and foremost, +It would be him though. Out of all of your brothers his intelligence is what rivals yours.+
+Maybe, or maybe it is how that intelligence in utilized.+ TalOS pointed out with a small hint of introspection, +We each have similar capabilities but manifest it different with every world we land upon.+
