Operation Three- “Nacht Tag” – Summary
The Battalion must break through enemy occupied territory in order to reach the southward road and continue movement to avoid isolation and encirclement. Lady Sommervind’s armored company will be holding the southern egress point- and will form the rearguard when the final non-combat elements cross the threshold. Primary enemy formation in defense is infantry and anti-tank and light artillery assets as well as motorized materiel, with limited amounts of armor. Fast reaction and armored reinforcements exceedingly likely. Intelligence is poor, so be prepared for any eventuality.
Primary Objectives are as follows-
1-Escort Headquarters Unit to Egress Point
2-Escort Ammunition Convoy to Egress Point
3-Escort Fuel Convoy to Egress Point
Note that convoy units have poor off road capabilities, and are restricted to roads.
The severity of the situation had also prompted an escalation in tactics in recent days. While there were no official treaties between Vynmark and Twaryi concerning what arms were restricted from the field of battle, there had been no reports of chemical weapons being used. It wasn’t known which side did it first- all that trickled down was that the Lachrymator-L Gas munitions crates had had the locks broken off of them, and distributed where they could be used. LLG was hardly the most intimidating chemical weapon compared to, say, Sulphur Mustard or Bertholite, let alone Flayer, but it was a chemical weapon nevertheless.
>LLG munitions are now able to be used by any unit with weapons of bore diameter 5 centimeter or higher, or grenades and rifle grenades. Lachrymator-L is a lavender-hued vapor that causes tears and coughing fits that make any exposed to it practically unable to fight so long as they are within it, but beware- you are just as vulnerable to it as the enemy is, whether in a vehicle or not, if you do not don chemical protection. Chemical Protection consists of masks and cloaks, and will guard you from the worst effects of chemical weapons, but interfere with perception, and will reduce your initiative rolls by 2 to a minimum of 0. Lachrymator munitions, for purposes of area of effect and duration, work like smoke munitions.
Deployment may begin- Infantry units may change their weapons loadouts if they wish. Blue tiles are for all to deploy on, Recon may deploy on Green.
Be wary- green tiles may have unsighted enemy contact within them.
