The fight went on as you both exchanged potshots at each other. The battle couldn't last forever, and after some more tense minutes...
"They're retreating!" Gerty announced the success.
Many cheers were made. Yet you couldn't celebrate yet, you needed to look over the damage.
"Your cannon is in top shape!" Bertha said with a flirty smile. You didn't know if that was supposed to be an innuendo. "Unlike your cannon it needs to recharge, Master~" Alright that was definitely an innuendo.
"The cargo hold got punctured." Ayane said. "And a couple boxes containing some minerals were broken and scattered. It's a miracle nothing was destroyed." That sounded annoying to deal with, but manageable.
"They've had a right go at one of the engines, guv." Cattleya informed you with a meow. That was a slightly more worrying piece of news.
"A clank suffered some frontal damage." Gerty says as she looks at you straight in the eye. "Feel free to punish me for my incompetence." She says with levelheadedness. It's subtle, but you notice her breaths getting heavier with excitement. Your not surprised, you've been teasing her for most of the day.
The forwarding base you made against the goblins was still available if you wanted to make a quick pit stop. Enough of a clearing was made back then for your BoatMech, it would be easy to land the airship there. But you'd need to improvise if you wanted to actually fix the engine.
The still operational turrets and campsite made this the safest option, yet it would still add at least a few more hours to the return home.
Or you could try to go ahead and keep on flying. You still had extra engines for this sort of scenario, but the damaged one would probably need to be scrapped after this.
There was also the option to fix it mid flight while leaving the piloting to Herta. While you were a Savant, doing this could be argued to be a needless risk. Though if you succeed you'd be there quicker and have a good engine.
>Go to the forwarding base.
>Fly directly to the mansion.
>Fix it mid-flight.

With the battle ending in a win many of your wives were discussing how this airship deserved a name after surviving the pirates. A few ideas were floated around, but nothing concrete. The final say was yours.
Give the airship a name?
>The Faithful Victory.
>The Crafty Goddess.
>The Pirate's Bane.
>The Aggression.
>The Bounty.
>The Eagle Eye.
>The Mastervessel.
>Just mark it as "Airship - Cargo Class 00-01"
>Let it remain nameless for now. A better name will be given to it eventually.
