>>5452786>>5452803I'm of a completely different opinion about Hedwyn, while morally, as a human being, he was utterly reprehensible, he didn't do it exactly for funsies and because he'd like to see what it felt like. He did it to save mankind from an eternity of enslavement, and being a highly capable spellcaster, he knew intricately that he cannot do it by being nice and cuddly and playing fair and by the book, because the godhand rewrote the book of rules everyone is living by right now. There was never any room for hope, only a stubborn refusal of submission. The sole reason Vlad can go on with his Green Knight schtick is because of Hedwyn. he gave him the power that enables him to do good, meaningful power to do meaningful good and enact meaningful chance, instead of being just a powerless slave of fate like the rest of humanity since the moment of their conception, even if his means were evil and he had to forsake being human in the process. I find the notion rather compelling, personally.
