“Oh, I found more than that. I found some information that you might want as well.” he says with a look, one that just spells trouble. “While in the city, I found out the location of the world's largest dungeon. One that's never been conquered.”
“Never conquered?” you ask, surprised. You'd thought every dungeon on this world was beaten at least once. “Are you sure?”
“Of course, Wiz and Vanir confirmed it too.” he says, you wondering how that airheaded lich would know anything. Without that archdevil Vanir, she wouldn't even be able to keep a simple magic item shop open. “And, even better, she took me there. So, now I have a teleport spot set at level one of the world's most dangerous dungeon.”
“And now you're wanting me to help you out, buying some of my dragon bone weapons as well as my Crystal Barriers for taking it on?” you ask him, thinking you know where he's going with this. But then he completely surprises you, shaking his head.
“No no, well, I mean that wouldn't hurt. After all, personal safety is very important. And your stuff's top quality.” he says to you, then shakes his head. “What I'm really wanting is to hire you.”
“Hire me?” you ask him, confused. “For what?”
“Isn't it obvious? I want you to come with us.” he says, gesturing to his party. “We're pretty strong, but on our own there's no way we could take this dungeon on our own. Even working with the other parties we know, there's no way we could take it down. Not if what Wiz said about it is true.”
“What did she have to say about it?” Megumin asks, who does value Wiz's knowledge as another archwizard. Which, and you don't know how, but she does have Lord Jergal's blessing as a Lich to continue existing instead of being put to her eternal rest.
“She uses the dungeon on occasion to stock up on rare resources, ingredients for potions from monsters that are rare elsewhere.” he says. “But she's never ventured down below floor twelve before.”
“Floor twelve?” you shout, shocked. Even Ainz's Great Tomb of Nazarick, a dungeon from his world he and his people conquered years ago was only ten floors. For this dungeon to be at LEAST twelve is shocking, who knows what sorts of monsters lurk below. “How many floors does it have?”
“I heard reports of a team of legendary adventurers that made it as deep as floor thirteen, once.” he says, you feeling your jaw drop a bit. “They tried to map the entirety of the dungeon years ago but were forced out before ever reaching whatever boss lurks below. And, on top of that it took them two months working slowly to get that deep, and another month to fight their way back out.”
