It was when TalOS’s observations finished that Arkhan rose from his seat and quickly made his way towards TalOS. TalOS could only guess that Arkhan was feeling the adrenaline of a powerful find that invigorated even the Mechanical Tech Priests. He looked at TalOS in a way that could only be described as soul-scribbing.
Was such a stare because he was really trying to study TalOS through mechanical eyes, or was there a sense of lunacy within him that was more apparent than other Priests.
“I am Arkhan Land! It is my pleasure to see the Master of Adept UZ1!” He announced in a Gothic Tongue while extending his hand towards TalOS.
“I hold the same pleasure to you, Arkhan Land.” TalOS told the Priest as he received the welcoming gesture in kind, “This is quite the discovery you have made. How did you come to learn about it?”
“I learned of it from the Archives at the Imperial Palace!” Declared the Priest with a hand raised high into the air, “Lord Malcador saw me one of the few Priests fit to walk upon Terra and I made sure that no man, not even the Omnissiah himself, would question such a decision!”
“And he was correct.” TalOS answered as he wondered for a moment if Malcador simply did not divine the future, “What have you found here? I have been hearing of this raider.”
“Yes, the Raider.” Arkhan quickly sent TalOS a data package of images and details that was enough for the Primarch to gain an understanding of what was found, “The Raider I realized was meant to deliver Cybernetic troops on the battlefield as well as provide them firing support. I can already see it serving the Astartes as its dimensions fit their build much better than a mortal man!”
To those words TalOS’s eyes widened with surprise, for indeed the Priest was correct. Land’s Raider will be able to deliver Astartes from battlefield to battlefield, something that they had been sorely lacking these last few decades of war. Even in TalOS’s own war only the Skitarii had tanks to speak of while the Proelitor were always left on foot.
