>>6313521>“No. Bring the pig with us and we’ll cook it later. We’ve been at this for hours and are only on Floor 11. We’re not just risking the Gallowglass getting away, but also Arios and Leonora. If we leave them unchecked for too long, they’ll eliminate every Floor Guardian, and we’ll be stuck having to climb every damn level of this tower.”“Ughhhh. I’m liking this partnership less and less.” Butch lets off a great sigh of annoyance. The pig struggles to get out of the man’s considerably burly arms, but to no avail. “Where do you think you’re going? I’m not letting go of you unless it's to roast you over an open fire.”
Saoirse shrugs, not willing to press the matter any further. “I already found the panel to the next floor.” She says, letting out another yawn. “I guess it wouldn’t hurt to climb a bit more. It feels as though we may be nearing the end of the first day.”
“Bravo, Tristain.” As your two allies leave to head for the panel, Crowley slaps you on the back reassuringly. “Those two are used to giving orders, not taking them. But the way you’ve got them wrangled to follow your command is proof you’re a natural born leader!”
>“Listen you little weirdo, I know you’re lying about something. I expect you to hold up to your end of the bargain when this is over.”“Of course! I always keep my word! Of that you can be sure!”
The two of you follow Saoirse through the meadow. Even if the others wouldn’t admit it, there was definitely something wrong with this floor. Its peacefulness was a facade. You could sleep your life away in a place like this, waking up only to find that the entire competition had passed you by. You’d feel more comfortable sleeping in that jungle than you would here. Eventually, you locate the warp panel, and leave for the next floor.
>Turn 10/40>Floor 12/40“Ahhh, the damn pig’s gone!” Butch rages, looking left and right for his prize.
You and the others have been transported to what appears to be a coliseum. Fodlan had banned the practice of holding arena fights centuries ago, but you could still recognize such a structure when you saw it. You and your allies were sitting in a large amphitheater, where a crowd would gather to watch the fighting unfold. The stands were empty, and yet somehow the roar of the audience was still present, cheering loudly at the two fighters who were standing in the middle of the arena down below. One was one of the Dagdans you’d seen earlier, though which you were unsure of. The other was Oleg Albany, the man who you’d seen previously bickering with Uriyan.
“Ahh, that’s Nathaniel!” Crowley exclaims, pointing down towards the ring. “But where’s Adam…? Ahh! Over there!”
Sure enough, the other Gallowglass was sitting in the stands opposite from where you and your party were. His eyes gaze a hole through Crowley, seemingly ignoring you.
