Are we 100% sure cocksucker is Salazar?
Going through the old threads and that's a supposition that we made, that we then began treating as fact. I do not believe we actually confirmed it. The argument for cocksucker being Salazar is that he referred to Merlin and the Fifth Founder in the third person, Helga as his sister, the general Slytherin dickishness about him, and the fat that Rowena and Godric think cocksucker is Salazar too, but I'm beginning to have my doubts.
For one, there is another slytherin character from the same period that fits to a T the general characterisation of cocksucker.
>And for all His strengths, He was still weak to the pleasures of the flesh.
There is also the last thing we said to cocksucker before he got temp-banned by Linda.
>“Even Salazar… would have… despised you,” you spit through gritted, bloodied teeth. “He respected… serpents, not worms… and you are below… even that.”
Rowena and Godric also think that Salazar had changed, which is interesting because they and Helga seem to be their normal selves.
And then there's this little bit that was said at last light which going off HeadQMs previous foreshadowings I feel is a little too on the nose upon reflection:
>Because if your little Faith had taken a single peek into me… She’d have known exactly the type of person I am.”
>“A monster…” Faith whispers in your head, afraid. No, horrified. “Oh Merlin… What have you done to her?”
"Oh Merlin... What have you done to her?" On the one hand "Oh Merlin" is obviously just the expression, but there's sufficient dramatic irony if it's also referring to Merlin himself.
I'm not 100% sure on this, I could be wrong, but I just think that there's some extremely curious coincidences between cocksucker and Merlin, who we have to assume is somehow coming back physically, and not just in the beast form inside of us. This then begs the question, if cocksucker is not Salazar, then who is? What kind of wizard would be host to a scheming, sneaky, slytherin whose ability to figure things out is a little too clever? Almost like a master legilimens? I think the answer's obvious.
