[JENK] "Now. How about we plant some corn?"
'Fair enough. I'll accept your test. I'm sure you'll be impressed with what a little telekine-'
[JENK] "No."
'Eh?' I blinked.
Jenk simply wagged his finger at me.
[SHENNU] "Ah... I believe he wishes to truly see your work ethic but doing it the hard way."
[JENK] "Mm. No telekinesis. No teleportation. None of that. Just sweat..." He started, grabbing a hoe. "...tears, and patience."
He threw the hoe at me and I caught it.
'A-Ah...! I see. Well, no matter. I am very patient. And I'm not lazy to boot... So I accept this challenge. But, don't you embrace new methods? Shennu told me you do..."
[JENK] "Now now. You should know psychics are a rarity. If psychic farming were a thing, perhaps I'd allow it. But mortals have yet to patent a method of farming like that. We will just use our tools on hand."
'I see. Who shall drive your tractor? You?'
[JENK] "I don't have a tractor. I can't afford heavy machinery. Heheheh!"
'Ah...'
[MAJORDOMO] "Looks like you're farming!" My subconscious snickered. I pinched his ear. "YOW!"
Jenk took us to his corn plots. The whole field was barren. We would spend all day, and possibly all night as well. Planting corn stalks. One at a time. Across the whole field, row by row. It would take a while.
I'm... I'm not lazy but...
Sigh...
At least, he promised to cook us a good dinner afterwards. And pumpkin pie, just like Wolfboy wanted.
