Now that you think of it, you do remember mumbling something of the sort, but it’s all so hazy she could very well just be lying. “Then what are you doing here? Do you not have other duties?”
“Why? You looking to get rid of me?”
“No! Um, I-i mean, of course not. I am merely curious.”
“Right, right. Anyway, it’s not like I have much else to do with you out of commission. We’re partners, aren’t we?”
You nod your head, “I s-suposse that is true. Still, that doesn’t explain why you’re here watching my rest and not a maid who will call you once I awaken.”
“Ugh, sometimes I forget you’re rich.”
“What was that?”
“I’m here because I’m bored and worried,” She finishes. “Asher’s supposed to come back tonight, so I’d have gone to see him later, but you’re here right now. Though I can go get anybody you want to talk to.”
Now that’s a thought. You will be rather sedentary for a while, but that doesn’t mean you can’t socialize.
