>GlobalThe moon grows dark once more! Song and celebration spread across the land as the natural order is seemingly restored. For many years the moon does not grow bright again, but when it finally does it returns to its normal monthly cadence. The Lunar invaders retreat to their bases, save for the Empress of Loluna who seems to be quite enjoying her position.
>>6312444>AA. of KhurnaireSpeaking without speech carries with it a number of useful advantages, not least of which is, with practice, a remarkable increase in speed of conversation. Most impressive however is that it crosses all barriers of language, even between man and beast. Unfortunately most beasts are little more than dumb animals, the smartest among them only carry a hundred ‘words’ or so, but with a little training they can be taught to carry more complex messages, even if they do not fully understand their meaning. And of course the ability to speak without being heard by others has all manner of useful applications.
Few students survive the teachings of Lord Mana on the art of fleshcrafting, and fewer still survive entirely the same, emerging with strange limbs, extra eyes, and bits of animals welded to their flesh. Still, with a supply of flesh, animal or human, a number of useful augmentations can be achieved.
The needs of Khordavolan for the imprisonment of cursed creatures are quite varied, cells are designed with the floor separated into a grid where stones carved with symbols of binding or offering bowls can be slotted in or out as needed, usually by the third or fourth mangled guard the correct arrangement is discovered, though some of the cleverer monsters will wait months, or even years before making their move. Cauldrons of saltwater boil in the courtyards, and a steady stream of prisoners and exiles are ‘encouraged’ to provide blood. The greatest problem of all is getting anything useful out of the monsters, once fully contained they usually lapse into moody depression, only stirring when given an offering of some hapless prisoner who displeased the Lord Mana.
The pilgrimage north to the Blossoming Dawn is largely without issue, indeed there seems to be no trace of the Nachetar remaining in these lands. Though there is little to compare against save ancient records that record a ‘great and vast emptiness beneath the land’, there seems to be nothing of the sort anymore. Even the ancient bones of the dead seem finally at peace. Though none will allow them near the crystal monument at the Blossoming Dawn, at a distance even it seems to be worn smooth with time. There is the faintest hint of a woman’s figure in the pillar of crystal’s shape.
