You walk over to cork board pinned with flyers. Little of the wood beneath it is visible, as it seems the shop owner simply pins new announcements over the old. Parsing through the multi-colored pieces of paper you find handouts on people looking for friends, notifications for events, and business cards from local stores. You even recognize one card from the thrift shop you entered. The people looking for groups are hiking groups and table top game players, and you don't see anything suspicious there. The business cards don't offer much in the way of a path forward either, being nothing more than advertisements.
At first the event reminders seemed like it would follow. Most of the events are in the greater metropolis area, mentioning concerts or upcoming festivals or art exhibits. Then one that catches your eye. The poster is darker, with a gradient of nightly colors rising from the bottom of the page. Near the top in a bold orange font reads "GRANITE CITY GHOST TOURS." It mentions a "haunted" Granite Park, a "spooky" abandoned Haggar Train Hub, and the Granite Family Mansion full of spirits. It promises "beginner paranormal investigations", and to top it all off is free.
While you are wondering how close these locations are Tamako walks up, swinging around her new magic staff. She asks what you are doing and you tell her about the ghost tours.
"Ugh... Don't we already have enough problems with that ghost lady who wants to be my mom? What was her name?" Tamako sighs exasperated. "Are you sure you want to add more ghosts on top of it?"
You absentmindedly fiddle with the Exorcist's charm, and say that it's strange he's heard talk of ghosts twice now. There might be something to it.
"I guess... I don't really understand how it'll lead to finding an Anomaly but it could be fun." Tamako replies.
You look around, wondering if you should continue on to another shop. Your daughter isn't wrong after all. The anomaly might just be sitting in a store somewhere not connected to the ghost rumor at all. You just can't help but think they are aligned though. Wondering if you should ask some of the locals. In here you spot the worker attending the register, as well as an elderly man and woman enjoying coffee at a nearby table. There are two construction workers enjoying breakfast sandwiches as well, and a woman working on a laptop.
