And seemingly only affecting you and DDF. But you keep fighting, resisting its pull until the void starts closing. The void shrinks down to nothing, leaving you standing right in front of the wizard, chest heaving from the strain of resisting that otherworldly pull.
“What?! But how-!” he exclaims, you not hesitating and swinging your left fist, exploding the man's head in a spray of blood and gore. The creature he'd summoned then disappears into motes of brilliant white light, its ki vanishing entirely as the summoner's body collapses, lifeless. But the wizard's spell chains still have your wife bound, you drawing Spell Breaker from your boot and swing the dragon bone blade into it, focusing your ki into the weapon. The instant Spell Breaker hits the chains there is a blinding flash of light, the chains vanishing entirely and allowing Meloka to drop to the ground, landing on her hands and knees.
“You okay hun?” you ask, reaching down to help her up when, suddenly, you feel it. Turning, the motes of light that were the last fuzzball wearing the headdress all start reshaping, forming themselves back into the wizard's form as you feel Meloka jump up beside you, hearing her activating her Energy Blades again. “Tch!”
“GAH!” the wizard shouts as his body is reformed, staring at you and Meloka in front of him then staggers back, clearly terrified. He throws his staff down, getting down on his hands and knees while pressing his face to the ground prostrating himself. “Please, spare me! I surrender, I surrender! I'll leave and never come back, I swear!”
