“Quite the war that's happening out there.” The Dwarf said as he pointed to one of the windows, “These undead have been working the gates for a better part of a month I think.”
“It looks like it, but can the undead even stand a chance?” Lucian asked the Dwarf as he gazed back out, “Or… perhaps there are greater horrors that I am not seeing.”
“Aye, there are greater horrors. All the evils of the world seems to have something nastier than the last.” The old Dwarf said as the ringing of a cannon shook their room.
For Lucian the concussion of such mighty thunder was shaking both his armor and his bones. He wondered to himself how the Dwarfs were holding themselves in this chamber but he realized that they might have been more used to it than he. That, and their rather round bodies helped keep the blast from hurting their flesh like his.
“So what should we be watching for? Horrors from Hell?” Lucian remembered the Abomination he fought so long ago and shook his head, “I need to meet his Lordship. I’m useless in here.”
“The King of this Karak is busy keeping an eye on his people down near the gate.” The white haired Dwarf said as he brandished his axe, “Also, I’m thinking you’re right where you’re supposed to be.”
Lucian looked out at the horrors that were abroad, the skeletons continuously fighting. Wave after wave of soldiers marching their way through the snow only showing how mindless they were, “Are you sure?”
“I think so.” The Dwarf answered from under Lucian’s shoulder, “You’ve got good eyes for a Manling, perhaps you can see something we can’t.”
The Knight did as he was told, his eyes searching the green darkness. Morrslieb light was horrible for many present, yet Lucian noticed that he could see just that tad bit better. Looking from the horde the Champion of Morr looked up towards the green moon, seeing what he guessed to be crows. Yet they looked so small against the moon.
“I don’t see anything.” Lucian said as he looked down, yet Visa was missing.
