>>5942813“So do you need me to head out before you turn into a tomato.”
“I am not turning into a tomato!” Yells out Alice as she pops back up from behind the desk before wincing and sliding back behind as she grabs the book.
“Is that a yes or no?” Asks William as the book is passed back to him as its back cover is slowly being filled up with scribbles.
*You can stay. It is nice to have some company other than the pervs on the computers.*
“The ords or are you hanging in chat rooms?”
*Both.*
“What?”
*I don’t get out much because of reasons.*
“So you spend most of your time organizing the library and books?”
*Pretty much just making sure the books don’t get moldy and university property does not go missing.*
“How does the job work like you got a map for where the books go to?”
*Usually I, actually yeah I just made a map myself after the last librarian got ran off because of an impatient mage. It was the entire reason I avoided sitting in the front desk, I hope she is okay.*
“I have to ask how does anyone find books in this library without getting lost?”
*It took me a few weeks but I was able to section off the library into History, hand manuals, non-fiction, magic, and a section for others that don’t fit in any of the previous categories.*
“Is it not based on alphabetical order or barcodes?”
*Nooo. It was frustrating trying to categorize things. I assumed the headmasters just bought what discount books they could find just to meet the government quota to count as a library.*
“Is it mostly filled out or do you need a hand?”
*Filled out so if you need a book to pass the time I can point you to it. It is a bit confusing to read my map as I made it up as I moved around finding what shelf has what books.*
“Oh right, should we move away before we get jumped by a mage?”
“Yes!” Yells out Alice as she hops over the desk with surprising ease as a hand grips William’s collar and pulls him with surprising force towards the stairs.
“Okay then why are you so strong?”
“Books!”
“That doesn’t answer my question.”
“That is not important right now.” States Alice as she drags William toward several bookcases on the second floor as both walk into several pillows and blankets thrown around with bits of half eaten chicken on a school tray.
“Ah, yuo- having lunch?” Asks William as his eyes trail over an open book near the food with a page open to a spell o-.
“Yes! You didn’t see anything?” Yells out Alice as she dives onto the book while hiding it near her chest with a nervous smile on her face.
“All I saw was paper and chicken.”
“Good, good. Soo, uhh ignore the stuffs I was not expecting visitors today.”
“I understand, I doubt I would ever have any visitors to mine…” Says William as his voice trails off remembering the leash he has and the scholarship he was robbed.
“Soooo what is going on in school? I kinda don’t know much going on in the hallways.”
