A lance of light crossed the void of space into another structure that could have mistakenly been seen as a crystalline asteroid. It was not though, instead it was the last vessel of the Mitu Collective that was cut through with the mystic science of the Mechanicum.
With the system cleared proper analytics could be taken of the region. The threat of being attacked by a retaliation fleet was minimal as the Mitu could not even see the system that was being attacked. Such was their reliance on the warp that when one takes it away from them they fail.
Analytics came back and this planet was within the first percentile of viable planets. Analytics showing that the place had a comfortable climate that would be perfect for converting to an agri-world. As such, the Sanctus Dominus declared that it shall be claimed with its ecological integrity intact.
A tall order that was, but the splinter fleet took it up all the same.
Throughout the fleet were numerous Astartes and Acillians, each giving their expertise to the grand force. It also meant that when the splintering happened, they were transferred to the ruling Magos in order to confirm their station.
Captain Lorch of the 5th Company stood on the bridge with the Magos who would be the leader in the coming operations. He stood resolute wearing his helm waiting for the meeting to begin. There was of course the small irritation that was crawling at his neck from the vox caster installation, but the Captain ignored it so that he would not bring shame upon the Astartes and Acillians under his command.
He was the first to the display, with Tech Priests trickling in as it came closer and closer to the top of the hour. His helmet gave the Captain a continuous feed of information of what was being discovered by the surveyor adepts. One of the greater things that came from joining with the Mechanicum and this Crusade was that their information gathering by far outstretched the standard human’s findings. Being one with the machines they operated gave them a greater insight in their eyes it seemed.
Among them was one of the few lightly augmented humans. Duke Bellerus of Dutonis, the one who would likely be commanding this world once the conquest was over.
When it was two minutes till the sounds within the room almost stopped completely. After all, it would have been rude to the Magi present who were now assessing their results. Lorch would have suggested they get another room to remove the possibility, but these men were mimicking his father in the air of transparency the Priests had with one another.
